Anode for Chlorine Gas Generation

Anode for Chlorine Gas Generation
(maintenance-free electrode with price competitiveness)

The anode for chlorine gas generation has been widely used for various electrolysis processes, such as, ion-exchange membrane-type brine electrolysis, diluted salt water electrolysis, hydrochloric acid electrolysis, seawater chlorination and chlorate electrolysis.

Daiso Engineering collects regular operation data from the commercial plants owned and operated by Daiso in addition to other data recorded at the time of operational troubles, which significantly reduces the technical development process. Daiso Engineering is indebted to its electrode development technologies based on those data for immediate supply to the clients requiring electrodes.

The major features of those electrode include

Decrease in Power Consumption

Daiso Engineering's proprietary technologies have developed a low-voltage-type anode in which the anodic potential is kept low. The anode contributes significantly to a decrease in power consumption even when operated at a current density of 6 kA/m2, and as a result, power is significantly conserved. Even an annual increase in power consumption is limited with this anode, which has gained steady usage from the users worldwide.

High Chlorine Generation Efficiency

Daiso Engineering's proprietary technologies have also developed a low oxygen-type anode in which oxygen gas concentration in chlorine gas is kept low. The oxygen gas, which is produced as a by-product, affects the user's production cost. Daiso Engineering's anode controls the generation of the by-product, whereby enabling the efficient generation of the chlorine gas and contributing significantly to the improvement of the chlorine gas quality.
